About Lotta Spjut

Lotta Spjut is an educator, executive coach, entrepreneur and speaker with more than 25 years of experience in education, personal development, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Born in South Korea and raised in Sweden, Lotta has built her career around a deep curiosity about how people learn, grow and develop, both personally and professionally.

Before becoming an entrepreneur in 2007, Lotta worked as a teacher in elementary school, high school and university, and later served as a regional chairman for one of Sweden’s teacher trade unions. Alongside her work in education, she also worked as a health and fitness instructor, guiding both individuals and groups in developing sustainable habits for physical and mental well-being.

Since starting her own business, Lotta has worked internationally with individuals, leaders and entrepreneurs, supporting learning, self-leadership, personal growth and business development. Over the years she has mentored, educated and coached hundreds of people across different industries and cultures.

Lotta holds a Master’s degree in Didactics and a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She is a certified ICF Professional Executive Coach and also holds qualifications within health, fitness and nutrition. Her work combines education, coaching and behavioural understanding to help people grow with clarity, responsibility and purpose.

In addition to her work with leadership and personal development, Lotta is also the founder of Lotta Dog PT, where she applies the same principles of behaviour, communication and relationship building to the connection between humans and dogs. Her work is also expanding into the pet and dog market, where she is involved in early-stage collaborations exploring innovation and new solutions within the field.

At the heart of Lotta’s work lies a strong belief in lifelong learning. Inspired by the Japanese concept of kaizen, continuous improvement. She believes that meaningful growth happens step by step, through curiosity, responsibility and the willingness to keep learning.

Lotta was born in South Korea and adopted by a family in Sweden as a three-month-old baby, where she has lived ever since. Her curiosity about people, learning and human development grew later through her work in education and coaching.

Her professional journey began in education, where she worked as a teacher in elementary school, high school and university. During this time, she also served as a regional chairman for one of Sweden’s teacher trade unions, gaining early experience in leadership, communication and organizational development.

Alongside her work in education, Lotta developed a strong interest in health, well-being and performance. She worked as a health and fitness instructor, supporting both individuals and groups in creating sustainable habits for physical and mental well-being.

In 2007, she made the decision to leave employment and start her own business. The path of entrepreneurship has brought both challenges and opportunities, and over the years she has built her work around helping individuals and organizations grow through learning, self-leadership and personal development.

Lotta believes that growth rarely happens overnight. It happens step by step, through experience, reflection and a commitment to continuous learning.

Outside of her professional work, Lotta enjoys spending time outdoors, often together with her rottweiler Ecco. Their daily training, walks and activities in nature reflect her belief in learning, communication and strong relationships — principles that apply equally to people and dogs. She also values an active lifestyle, regular training and quality time with her family.

What drives Lotta is seeing people grow - step by step, into stronger, clearer and more confident versions of themselves.

She is deeply inspired by learning, self-leadership and the process of meaningful change. Whether in business, personal development, health or behavior, she is drawn to the moments when people begin to understand themselves more clearly and move forward with greater purpose.

For Lotta, growth is never just about achievement. It is also about well-being, balance and sustainability. She believes that lasting development happens when people care for both mind and body and create the right conditions to learn, lead and thrive.

She is also driven by freedom, the freedom to build a life and business aligned with her values and the freedom to help others do the same in their own way.

Above all, Lotta believes in continuous improvement. Real growth rarely happens overnight. It happens through curiosity, responsibility, resilience and the willingness to keep moving forward.

Lotta believes that meaningful growth begins with awareness, understanding who we are, how we work, what we need and where we want to go.

She does not believe in quick fixes. Instead, she believes in sustainable development, personal responsibility and long-term growth built step by step.

Lotta believes that learning changes people and that self-leadership creates freedom. She also believes that health and well-being are essential for a sustainable life and career.

Strong relationships are another cornerstone of her philosophy, between people, within teams, and in the connection between humans and dogs.

Growth is rarely perfect or linear, but with clarity, support and willingness, meaningful change becomes possible.
